THE BATHROOM MIRROR
by John Tustin
What is it about you?
In a concentrated repose
Before the bathroom mirror
Getting ready for work
With
Your thighs pressed to
The sink and your ass
In grey panties calling
Out for me to touch
Greedily
That makes me believe
That maybe there is
Something to all this
Nonsense about a higher
Purpose
And also that we are
Simultaneously
Animals resigned to
The cages of our
Desires
Tortured every moment
We separate to meet
Other needs and live
Outside the sanctity
Of
This bed, this room
These arms, these hearts
Your body yet unsatisfied
By mine and mine by
Yours
Your skin showing brown
Through the translucence
Of grey panties, your face
Before the bathroom
Mirror
Just asking to be kissed
But denied until the
Next moment so far away
I love how the time feels
Like
A wound that will heal
When your body meets
Mine again and I remove
Your panties and enter
You
Your breath coming out
And your hands on the
Wall for balance with
That look, eyes and lips
In
The bathroom mirror
Your body is mine and
Our heat, this hold you
Have over my cock and my
Soul.
