Bare Back Magazine: I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for interviewing with
Bare Back Magazine. Can you tell us about your background?
Jennifer Moody: I am 29 a mother with three children. I have always loved reading and constantly
needed new things to read so I started writing my own.
Bare Back Magazine: What do you think would be one of the challenges of being a
mother, wife and author should you decide to pursue writing on a full time basis?
Jennifer Moody: Time. There is never enough of it!
Bare Back Magazine: What was the first story that you ever wrote and what was it about?
Jennifer Moody: The first story I remember writing was when I was about 10. It was about a red
panda in china. It was about there threat of extinction. I wrote it to win a blue peter badge.
Bare Back Magazine: Who are some of your favorite authors?
Jennifer Moody: I love a mix of writers. I will read anything even cereal packets! My favorites are
Jilly cooper, Nora Roberts and Dan Brown
Bare Back Magazine: Do you imagine your characters first then write the story or write the
story first then let the characters flow?
Jennifer Moody: I have an idea for a story and let the characters emerge naturally. I don’t
usually know the ending of a story until the end so it’s as much a surprise for me as the readers.
Bare Back Magazine: Tell us about your story, Once Upon A Wet Dream; and how did you
come up with the idea for the story?
Jennifer Moody: I have always loved the story of the little mermaid so I wanted to keep to the
original plot. I played about with a few ideas before settling on its final form.
Bare Back Magazine: How would you describe your writing style? And what can our
readers expect from your work?
Jennifer Moody: I would like to think I inject humor into my stories. Hopefully I will make you smile.
Bare Back Magazine: Does a lot of what you write come from your experiences or purely
from your imagination?
Jennifer Moody: Since friends and family have read my work I get asked this a lot but is purely
imagination.
Bare Back Magazine: Do you have any new projects that you would like to tell our readers
about?
Jennifer Moody: Not really, I am so busy with the kids. I don't write as much as I should but am
always on look the out for an interesting project.
Bare Back Magazine: Where would you like to see your writing career in the next five
years or so?
Jennifer Moody: I would love to walk into any book shop and be able to pick up a book with my
name on. Not sure which genre I would like to write as so many interest me. So watch this space !
