Are Daddy Issues Really Such a Bad Thing?

“Daddy Issues” is the same kind of label as “midlife crisis”.

It’s a convenient tag-all used by people that are jealous of others that can do the kinds of things they only wished they could do.

When you’re a young man, you can’t afford the hot rod muscle car, so when a man gets older and has the means, he might buy himself one. Why is that such a negative?

It doesn’t mean that he fears death or is trying to relive his youth.

Well, sometimes it does, but not all the time.

More often than not, it means that he can finally afford to get the things he always wanted when he was growing up. What’s so wrong with getting what you’ve always wanted when you’re finally able to afford it?

And…what older man would NOT want a young, fresh, vibrant girl in his bed?

Or on the kitchen table?

Or out on the deck?

Or wherever else they can find to fuck?

What’s the beef with that?

But enough of that. I want to talk about the phenomenon called, “Daddy Issues” and all of the unbridled fun and excitement it carries along with it.

Younger girls that want an older man – meaning they crave a grown man more than twenty-thirty years their age – get the same raft of shit as the “midlife crisis” guys get.

But why?

It’s not anything ‘demeaning or insulting to women everywhere’, no matter how hard the Bible thumps. No matter how much feminists scream about it.

There are some truly valid and possible reasons for a desire like this one.

Younger girls can have the fun they want without the boyfriend-girlfriend mind games guys their own age can play.

Younger girls can find and devour and slather themselves with a Pagan brand of sex that makes the younger guys queasy. Older guys are much more willing and more than likely, they’ve already done it themselves anyway. Besides, for a lot of girls, there seems to be a smoldering thrill about exploring the sexual, hedonistic experiences of man who could legally drink before they were born.

Older men can give a younger girl a no-strings-attached whirlwind of sexual excess because a lot of those guys are either married or have a years-long girlfriend already. And they have no intention of leaving them.

No strings, no mess and no feelings to worry about.

No strings sex becomes illicit and hidden sex and maybe that is really the kink she wants – get off in some wild, animalistic way and no one ever knows about it.

When she has her fill, she’s gone in the breeze.

No-strings-hardcore-porn-type sex or not, there’s a definite feeling of safety with an older man.

That feeling of safety a girl gets from being in the bed of a powerful masculine figure.

Maybe she just wants to reap the rewards – and gifts – an older man is all too willing shower on her. If a guy’s going to give up money and gifts and decadent pleasures, why not take them?

Or maybe she just wants to try out an older man and see for herself what all the fuss is about.

One of the best parts of being young is exploring and finding and living all the kinks you never knew existed.

It’s also possible that a younger girl can get the immediate attention and free sex that she might not find so easily otherwise. In that case, it works out great for both of them, because chances are, he’s not getting much on his own, either.

No matter how long it lasts, everybody wants it and everybody needs it.

There are some downsides, though.

I’ve never known any “Daddy Issue” couples to last for more than a month, maybe two. Sure, there are exceptions, but in all I’ve seen, the norm has a very short shelf-life.

That’s probably the biggest ‘minus’ but at the same time, could be the biggest ‘plus’ of all.

The younger girl and the older man both have whatever fun they were looking to find, and when the flame burns down, it’s time to move on.

Maybe the girl’s curiosity was satisfied and that was all she wanted or needed.

Maybe after ‘trying out the old man’, she’ll feel more empowered and confident when dealing with guys her own age.

There really are never any misgivings about the arrangement…until one or the other catches feelings. Then it can get ugly.

A young girl can bounce back a lot easier from ‘feelings’ than the older man when they inevitably split up. She’ll have her friends and an unending supply of guys her own age – and beyond – to help her forget the good time she just got from the older man.

But when an older man catches feelings, they can pull him down into a horrible tailspin.

It kind of reminds me of a pilot fish riding on a shark’s back.

The pilot fish gets a ride that does them both some good, but when the shark’s done, so is the pilot fish.

That can make an older man feel closer to his physical age than he ever did before.

It can make him feel way too old, way before his time.

The guys I’ve known that tripped down into this hole never really recovered from it.

They sunk back into themselves and they recoiled from the social world whenever they could.

I guess the sex was THAT good! Mind-bending sex!

It is true that having the soul sucked out of your body can twist you ten ways to Tuesday.

But I have to believe that if the sex was THAT good, then there’s more of it out there.

There’s no reason to implode.

Don’t take life so seriously and enjoy the times you do have to enjoy!

Young girls can get caught in the same snares, no doubt. It’s pretty easy to mistake that mind-bending, heathen sex for love, and THEN it becomes almost impossible to break free of it.

So the solution?

HAVE A GOOD TIME IN THE SHORT TIME YOU HAVE TOGETHER, AND QUIT WORRYING ABOUT THE LABELS JEALOUS PEOPLE WANT TO STICK ON YOU!

HAVE A GOOD TIME TOGETHER!

DON’T THINK TOO MUCH!

DON’T OVER-THINK EVERYTHING SO MUCH!

HAVE A GOOD TIME TOGETHER!

Get the point?

The thing I dislike the most about the whole situation is the idea that when a younger girl is with an older man – for any reason or any length of time – the older man is immediately vilified and demonized.

The older man is nothing but a despicable, dirty old man taking advantage of a poor little, defenseless, innocent young girl.

I must call BULLSHIT on that one!

There are TWO people playing the game.

What if it’s the poor little, defenseless, innocent young girl that’s taking advantage of the lonely older man? Does that make it all ‘ok’ then?

More than likely, they’re each taking advantage of each other, they both know it, and neither of them care about it. But then again, why does it have to be a matter of ‘taking advantage’?

They are both adults…maybe they’re just having fun.

But, oh, no…"That isn’t good enough! That can’t be it!”

There just has to be some sinister reason why this girl is with that dirty, old man…and not with the ‘Karens’ and ‘Kens’ that have such a problem with them.

It all comes back around. They’ll always label it with a convenient tag-all, those people that are so jealous of others that can do the kinds of things they only wished they could do.

Don’t blame everyone else if you can’t get none.

As for the younger women that want and lust for older men…I SAY GO FOR IT!

HAVE A GOOD TIME IN THE SHORT TIME YOU HAVE TOGETHER, AND QUIT WORRYING ABOUT THE LABELS JEALOUS PEOPLE WANT TO STICK ON YOU!

Oh, and before the villagers form a mob and storm my gates with pitchforks and torches, you should know that I am the Proud Father of two young Daughters.

I trust my daughters to make the right decisions for themselves and no one else.

I don’t have to understand or agree with everything they do.

As long as they’re careful, respectful and do what they believe is ‘right’ then they’re going to be ok.

Besides…it’s not my life, now is it?

I want my daughters to be happy in life. Happy and safe.

Then if anyone hurts my little girls, I’ll find them and rip their hearts out.

It’s the best I can do for my Girls:

Know that I taught them well and let them live their lives they way they see fit.
