Glistening drips and drops of dew
balanced on emerald blades of grass
weaving a muggy blanket
that soothes and cools the skin
soaking in the dull-dim glow
of a mid-summer moon
a bath of light and touch
a private room held within
a vast expanding chamber
of a mid-summer night in the city filled with
the heat and suck
of kiss-moistened lips that
draw the dew from within
to comingle with
the dew that is out
and that chill
and that warmth
gliding across the shimmering
waves of soft supple grasses
will envelop two bodies and pull them
down into that dampened blanket
of plush and thickened air
under the sublime glow
of the August moon above
the midnight summer dew and
the wet and the warmth in the
subtle midnight glow of a
summer night
deep in the heat
deep in the season leaving only
the last passionate rolls
inside of the summer grasses
of the midnight dew.
